BUCHAREST, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Moldova's National Olympic and Sports Committee resolutely opposed the politicization of sports, supports and wishes Beijing to hold a wonderful, successful Winter Olympics, the country's Olympic chief Nicolae Juravschi said on Friday.

The Olympic Spirit is the common pursuit of humanity and the Beijing Winter Olympics is another grand event in the International Olympic Movement, Juravschi told Chinese embassy in Chisinau, stressing that "China's preparations for the event and the international test competitions in the previous stage have left a deep impression on everyone, making us look forward to coming event in February in Beijing."

According to the official, Moldova will send a sport delegation consisting of 15 people to participate in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Juravschi wished the athletes of the two countries to achieve good results in the coming Winter Olympics.
