BEIJING, April 20 (Xinhua) -- On April 20, 2023, the ancient Chinese solar term "Grain Rain" or Guyu is celebrated along with the United Nations' 14th Chinese Language Day.
In 2010, the date of "Grain Rain" was selected as the UN Chinese Language Day to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six official languages throughout UN.
To celebrate the UN Chinese Language Day this year, Chinese culture enthusiasts worldwide participate in various activities. And we visit the National Museum of Chinese Writing in Anyang of central China's Henan Province to discover the origins of these characters and their evolution over time.
