Zhou Qi and Li Kaier are included in China's 12-player list for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
MANILA, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's men's basketball team unveiled its roster for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup on Tuesday evening, with both Zhou Qi and Li Kaier included on the 12-men squad.
The 12 players to represent China at the World Cup are Zhao Jiwei, Zhao Rui, Hu Mingxuan, Cui Yongxi, Zhang Zhenlin, Zhu Junlong, Li Kaier, Zhou Peng, Fu Hao, Zhou Qi, Hu Jinqiu, and Wang Zhelin.
Drawn in Group B, China will kick off its World Cup campaign against Serbia on August 26, and then face off against South Sudan and Puerto Rico on August 28 and 30 respectively.
The 2023 FIBA World Cup will be held between August 25 and September 10 in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia, marking the first time in history that the event is hosted by multiple countries. ■
