China's poverty alleviation "an amazing achievement" -- former UNESCO chief

China's victory over extreme poverty sets "one of the rare examples" in the world, said former Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova in an exclusive interview with Xinhua on Tuesday.

The absolute poverty has been eradicated in China, the world's most populous country, in 2021.
