FUZHOU, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Located in Fujian and Jiangxi provinces, Wuyishan National Park was officially designated as one of the first group of national parks in China in October.
The park has a comprehensive forest ecosystem representative of the mid-subtropical zone. It is also dubbed as "a kingdom of snakes", "a world of insects" and "a paradise of birds" by biologists for its rich biodiversity.
So far, more than 7,400 species of wild plants or animals have been observed at the national park.
Since 2016, seven new species, including Megophrys ombrophila and Rana wuyiensis, have been found in the park.
