HANGZHOU, April 7 (Xinhua) -- East China's Zhejiang Province announced it will carry out necessary nucleic acid and serum tests on inbound personnel coming from Wuhan in the future 14 days.

The move aims to step up targeted screening of asymptomatic infections as Wuhan, the former epicenter of the novel coronavirus epidemic, plans to lift outbound travel restrictions from Wednesday, the Zhejiang provincial government told a press briefing Tuesday.

Inbound personnel from Wuhan will be given a green health code -- proof that says a user is symptom-free -- if the nucleic acid and serum tests are negative.

People will be given a red health code and treated as asymptomatic infections or confirmed cases after diagnosis if their COVID-19 tests are positive.

People who have health test reports issued by local medical institutions can be exempted from the tests after verification.

Comprehensive service points will be set up across the province to ensure a convenient testing process, said an official with the provincial epidemic prevention and control headquarters.  ■
