The Alpine skiing competition of China's 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th National Special Olympic Games began on Wednesday in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Running until March 9, the competition includes five events -- slalom, giant slalom, super-G, super combined and downhill -- featuring 74 athletes from 11 teams across China.
