古安奴初收到飛馬邀請時感到非常榮幸,因為他得知到中國足球近年發展得十分快,有不少巴西球星都前往加盟,獲得這個機會他十分高興。在被筆者問到在簽約加盟飛馬前,是否已經對球隊有充分了解時,他卻給予否定的答案。「我沒有找到太多的資訊,聯賽在這邊並不是太著名。」

來到香港之後,主教練郭嘉諾嘗試去他介紹香港足球和飛馬的歷史,但礙於語言障礙,他們溝通上非常困難,尤其初到香港的古安奴並不會說英語。郭嘉諾每天會慢慢介紹一小部份,令他可以慢慢掌握這些知識,集小成多,他就認識了相當多的香港足球知識,並強調「郭嘉諾是個很好的人」他又稱初接觸他的隊友時,他認為他的隊友們「十分可愛」。

初初到訓練場時,他又感受到香港足球戰術與巴西的截然不同。他分析：「巴西用波會比較多,會有更多的組織；相反,香港的球隊都很直接,會很快便嘗試直接向龍門方向進攻。」他認為香港的組織方法非常直接,他起初需要時間適應。

When Junio first received the offer from Pegasus, he was very honored. He knew that Chinese football was developing very fast so he was very glad to have an opportunity from Pegasus. However he couldn't find much information about Pegasus before he arrived in Hong Kong because the league was not famous in Brazil.

After he arrived in Hong Kong, Coach Kwok Kar Lok tried to introduce him to everything about Hong Kong football, including the playing style, history of Pegasus and how everything worked. However, due to the language barrier, he would tell him little by little every day. He described Kwok Kar Lok as "a very good man". Also he thought his teammates were adorable when he first talked to them.

When he first finished a training session,he thought the playing style in Hong Kong was way more direct, the build up was way faster than the one in Brazil. " In Brazil we will touch the ball more, play with the ball a bit more. However in Hong Kong everything was very fast, very direct to the goal".
