Nature and sustainability form this new show flat in Chelsea.

Situated in one of London’s most coveted addresses, just a four-minute walk from the Imperial Wharf station, and moments from King’s Road, the Westwood House development by St George, part of the Berkeley Group, offers a collection of Manhattan, one, two and three-bedroom canal-side apartments that capture the best of the modern London lifestyle.

A new two-bedroom show apartment has been unveiled as the epitome of the development’s “homely” charm.

Conceived by interior design studio Untold Interiors, the apartment comprises an entrance hallway, open plan kitchen/living space, and two large bedrooms – one with an en-suite and dressing area – and one with a guest bathroom, all intended to accommodate the discerning taste of globetrotters.

With sustainability and wellbeing at the apartment’s core, the team has gone to great lengths to source natural materials where possible to limit its impact on the environment.

Annabel Hickton, co-founder of Untold Interiors, says: “By only sourcing in the UK and Europe to limit our carbon footprint, and by working with the very best master craftspeople on a number of bespoke pieces, nature and sustainability are at the heart of our inspiration.”

The calming entrance hall and living room are clad in Farrow & Ball’s blue grey paint that grants the space with an unwavering sense of calmness, with a high gloss finish to help reflect additional light into the rooms.

The open-plan kitchen/living area boasts a large window and terrace that imbue the room with an abundance of natural light. Here, a sofa in beige bouclé by Love Your Home mingles with a statement-making coffee table upholstered in a GP & J Baker fabric, accompanied by Vitra’s sustainable cork tables, as a testimony to the team’s focus on natural materials.

The apartment is dressed throughout with cushions from Untold Interiors’ in-house collection, which are made of leftover fabrics to reduce waste.

Further in, the main bedroom, dressed in Drop it Modern wallpaper, features banana leaf pendants by award-winning South Wales-based design studio Tŷ Syml, which go harmoniously with the bespoke curved headboard and vintage side tables that lend a modern vintage touch to the space.

The guest bedroom adopts a darker tone, featuring limewash walls and side tables by sustainable British brand Galvin Brothers, and a sustainable wall mirror in rattan vintage.

Samantha Liu, co-founder of Untold Interiors, concludes: “Since coming out of the pandemic we are all more in touch with the benefits of nature and therefore we want those viewing the apartment to have a true nature-led experience through the medium of design.”

Residents of Westwood House can enjoy state-of-the-art amenities, including a cinema room, wellness centre, modern gym, spa, indoor heated pool, treatment room, rain shower and a Scandinavian-style sauna and steam room.

The development is a stone’s throw away from a street food market, artisan coffee shop Harris + Hoole, the Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour, King’s Road, and the renowned Saatchi Gallery.
