In August 2008, when Beijing hosted the Summer Olympic Games, Manolidou was invited to give a concert at the Beijing Concert Hall.
Ahead of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, students at Manolidou's school and a high school in Beijing met through video link and recited excerpts of works of ancient Greek and Chinese philosophers.
Manolidou said these lessons are timeless, and that the classics do not only refer to the past, but also to the bright future.
