6 killed in SW China mountain collapse

GUIYANG, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed after a mountain collapse on Tuesday in Zhijin County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, local authorities said Thursday.

The collapse occurred at 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, leaving a vehicle carrying five people and one pedestrian missing.

As of 6:26 p.m. on Wednesday, all the missing people had been found dead.

The local government is still dealing with the aftermath of the accident. ■
