On Thursday and Friday, local residents gathered at the Migombani community garden to receive medical clinical services offered by the 34th Chinese medical team. The services included respiratory ailments, gastroenterology, general surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, stomatology, and traditional Chinese medicine.

The Chinese medical team was invited by the Zanzibar Ministry of Health as part of the 61st anniversary celebrations of the Zanzibar Revolution, culminating on Jan. 12.

Despite the hot weather, the Chinese doctors worked in a simple conference room, providing health and specialist examinations, traditional Chinese medicine treatments, and distributing free medications to nearly 400 people from the community and surrounding areas.
