GAZA, Nov. 4 (Xinhua)-- A polio vaccination campaign in the northern Gaza Strip resumed on Saturday after being postponed due to escalating violence, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced.
The third and final phase of the polio vaccination campaign, initially scheduled to begin on Oct. 23 in northern Gaza, had to be postponed because of the escalating violence, intense bombardment, mass displacement orders, and lack of assured humanitarian pauses, according to a UN humanitarian official.
