This limited-edition chandelier, with only 60 pieces available, celebrates a unique blend of cultures, craftsmanship, and the timeless beauty of East-meets-West.
To mark the 60th anniversary of Sino-French friendship and Baccarat's 260th anniversary, interior design luminary Steve Leung has teamed up with Baccarat for the first time to reimagine the French house’s iconic Zenith chandelier into an East-meets-West porcelain marvel.
Dubbed the Printemps Bleu Zenith Chandelier, meaning "Blue Spring," this limited edition of 60 pieces draws inspiration from the revered Chinese Blue and White Porcelain. It features Limoges porcelain elements such as the cupel, baluster, and bowl, interwoven with Baccarat's clear and cobalt blue crystals.
Intricate Chinese motifs, inspired by Baccarat's century-old archives from the 1878 Universal Exposition in Paris, are crafted onto the porcelain lampshades to create a spellbinding radiance when illuminated.
“Both our countries have a long-standing appreciation for art and literature,” said Leung. “I believe this collaboration is the perfect way to celebrate our countries' mutual understanding and appreciation of each other's heritage and creativity, especially on the 60th anniversary of Sino-French friendship.”
The Printemps Bleu Zenith Chandelier will debut in Asia in July 2024, followed by a global launch in 2025.
