LONDON, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- The gross domestic product (GDP) of the United Kingdom (UK) grew by 0.5 percent in the second quarter of 2024, revised down from an initial estimate increase of 0.6 percent, official data showed on Monday.
Services output grew by 0.6 percent from April to June with widespread growth across the sector, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Output in the production sector and construction sector has fallen by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent respectively, said the ONS.
Data also showed that real households' disposable income is estimated to have grown by 1.3 percent and the household saving ratio rose to 10 percent in the second quarter. ■
