Rabindranath Tagore, a famous Indian poet, had deep feelings for China. He visited China in 1924, and had extensive communications with a batch of talented Chinese poets and writers. 2024 marks the 100-year anniversary of Mr Tagore's visit to China. Recently in Beijing, Xinhua reporter Liu Jie talked to a member of Mr Tagore's family. Souraja Tagore told us how Mr Tagore was immersed in Chinese culture and influenced his Chinese friends.
