Well, despite Israel Adesanya's coach saying they would rather give Stipe Miocic a super fight, it looks like "Stylebender" is gunning hard for Jon Jones.

The UFC's middleweight and light heavyweight champions escalated their war of words on Twitter, with Jones mocking City Kick-boxing head coach Eugene Bareman's claim about heavyweight king Miocic.

"Lol I formally release DC (Daniel Cormier) as being my p****, Izzy now takes the throne," Jones tweeted, sharing a clip of Baremen's interview on Ariel Helwani's MMA Show.

If "Bones" was looking to goad Adesanya, it evidently worked.

"I got time today," Adesanya said on Twitter, posting a video with his response: "See, for me I used to sleep in the gym under the cage, to save on gas money so I didn't have to go home and come back.

"You hid under the cage to hide from Usada," he added, before pausing dramatically and whispering, " … allegedly", referencing Jones' multiple doping test failures.

Adesanya didn't stop there. He also posted a video of his new US$650,000 McLaren sports car, with the caption: "Feelin' cute might crash into a pregnant lady later", referencing Jones' 2015 hit and run incident.

He added, "I want all the picograms of freshly squeezed juice" with an emoji of an injection needle, and put Jones' initial insult down to "roid rage".

"I have never used d*** pills in my life," Adesanya wrote in another tweet, poking fun at Jones' failed drugs test in 2016 for a male-enhancement pill. "My balls still produce testosterone as they should cuz I have never taken testosterone from any external substance."
