Dana White said he was shocked to learn that DAZN have scheduled Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev's bout for the same night as UFC 244.
The UFC had already announced earlier this month that Jorge Masvidal will fight Nate Diaz for the "BMF" belt on November 2 at Madison Square Garden.
The highly anticipated match-up did not put off streaming service DAZN from going head-to-head with the UFC.
"So we started talking about this date, and then a week later I heard they're gonna do that fight," White said at Thursday night's UFC 244 press conference in New York.
"I think they're crazy to go the same night as us on DAZN, but it is what it is," he added.
Tickets for UFC 244 went on sale on Thursday, with more than 10,000 already sold by the time of the press conference at Pier 17.

"If they time it right and they do this thing the right way, it could be very much like the other night when Justin Gaethje fought Cowboy (Donald Cerrone), and then the Tyson Fury fight was on right after," White said.
"So if they time it right, it could work out. But if they wanna go head to head they're f****** nuts."
