Ten people were injured in a collision between a double-decker bus and a minibus in Tsuen Wan on Friday.

Emergency services were called at about 10.45am when the minibus went into the back of a KMB vehicle near Discovery Park shopping centre on Castle Peak Road.

Nine men and one woman were slightly hurt in the incident, according to a police spokesman.

Five ambulances were sent to the scene, and the injured were taken to Yan Chai Hospital, in Tsuen Wan, for treatment.

The incident came the day after a bus driver died, and 14 people were injured, in a collision between a Citybus double-decker and a truck on the Yuen Long-bound Tsing Long Highway, near the toll gate of Tai Lam Tunnel in Pat Heung.

Official figures show that 43 people have died in 42 fatal traffic accidents across the city in the first five months of this year.
