《底特律：變人》Quantic Dream 才說不再 PS4 獨佔，趁著 Gamescom 2019 開展之際，索尼宣布收購《漫威蜘蛛人》、《拉捷克與克拉克》開發商 Insomniac Games。
未來，Insomniac Games 將是索尼環遊工作室（SIE WWS）成員。

1994 年成立的美國遊戲開發商 Insomniac Games，以高速、爽快動作遊戲著稱，從早期的《寶貝龍》（Spyro the Dragon）、《拉捷特與克拉克》、《全面對抗》，一直到 Xbox One 的《落日飆神》乃至於 2018 年全球熱賣的《漫威蜘蛛人》，過往作品評價不俗。
Insomniac Games 創辦暨 CEO Ted Price 在聲明稿指出，本次加入索尼環球工作室，無疑獲得更大機會，實現工作室願景。自從公司成立以來，長期與 PlayStation 締結親密關係，進而放大開發潛能，這點已經在《漫威蜘蛛人》（Marvel's Spider-Man）被證明。
從合作密切的第二、第三場到直接納入旗下，Sony 此舉很明顯在幫「PS5」鋪路，掌握足夠爆發一波的開發動能。如今雙強聯手，對於熱愛過往作品的玩家而言，不妨先期待一波。
