MOSCOW, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said Wednesday it has detained two teenagers on suspicion of plotting an armed attack on a school in the southwestern city of Saratov.
The suspects, both born in 2005, are members of various online communities that spread ideas of mass killings and suicide, the FSB said in a statement.
The teenagers were arrested in an abandoned bomb shelter, where they kept a sawn-off shotgun. They also found instructions for home-made incendiary bombs on the Internet.
The Saratov division of the Russian Investigative Committee has instituted a criminal case against the detainees.
Last week, the FSB said it had detained two teenagers in the Crimean city of Kerch who were suspected of plotting explosions in schools. ■
