Nate Diaz and the UFC have never had a straightforward relationship. And he's fearing some more foul play from the organisation's matchmakers.

The Stockton, California native lost Saturday night's "BMF" title fight against Jorge Masvidal after a medical stoppage before the fourth round started. The cage-side doctor ruled he should not continue because of a nasty cut above his right eye.

"It doesn't make it official, right? If someone else decided the fight was over, I don't feel too bad a** (expletive) about that fight," Diaz said at the post-event press conference.

"He deserves everything he gets, he's a great fighter, right on for him. He's been around a long time. Jorge Masvidal, I'm coming for you. That's my plan from here on out."

But Diaz expressed his belief that the UFC will not let him rematch Masvidal, despite both fighters calling for them to do it all over again.

"If you're the baddest (expletive), you gonna take that win? I would love to run this back, that's the only thing I wanna do," he said.

"But I know how this game works. I can already see the f****** coming. I give all the rematches and make names for people. I brought the president, straight up. I don't see the president going to no title fights.

"I believe it's fair. Hopefully they don't throw so much money Jorge's way and say, 'Let's do something else'. need to get my rematch.

"After I beat Conor (McGregor) and (Anthony) Pettis why did they throw me back in so quick? They were desperate for the show. Presidents don't come for no title fights, they come to bad (expletive) fights."

Diaz praised Masvidal as a "real fighter" for saying he wanted to give him a rematch, and warned the UFC he will settle for nothing less.

"I'm not coming back making names for no people," Diaz said. "Every person I fought, they (the UFC) would say he gets a title shot if he beats me. What do I get? 'You get No 27 (ranked fighter) again.

"I think he'll run it back. If you're a man of your word, you gotta run it back. A real fighter will. Conor didn't take the rematch, hopefully Masvidal takes the rematch, I been taking all the rematches. That's what I hope we can make happen. I hope everyone gets on the same page, otherwise it might be another three years off again."

UFC president Dana White said he wasn't interested in a rematch, adding that Masvidal "looked dominant" and will be "moving on to something else".

"I can already see it. Dana White saying 'I don't know about that', that's how it starts," Diaz added. "I have more fights than anybody in UFC, maybe there's a couple people with more. I would've had more if I wasn't off for three years from being f***** by the UFC.

"My plan is to tell them all 'F*** you', then hopefully we get back at it. You got to kill me in there. I made this whole s*** happen. I would like it to happen again. F*** you, with all due respect.

"Don't play me like you have, and this is where it all starts, I can feel it already. Don't be telling me I gotta fight Joe Blow over here, then say we offered him fights. I don't wanna hear that. I plan on getting along with them, if they get along with me."
