"China has been taking highly organized measures to contain the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. The country has been very responsible regarding prevention and control efforts to combat the coronavirus," said Mongolian FM Damdin Tsogtbaatar.
ULAN BATOR, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar on Tuesday expressed full confidence that China will win the battle against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
"China has been taking highly organized measures to contain the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. The country has been very responsible regarding prevention and control efforts to combat the coronavirus," Tsogtbaatar told Xinhua.
As a result, China has effectively curbed the spread of the epidemic to other countries, he said.
To help China's anti-coronavirus efforts be more effective, other countries need to be equally responsible and take preventive measures, he said, adding that Mongolia has been following the recommendations of the World Health Organization to prevent an epidemic.
"We are fully confident that China and the Chinese people will win the battle against the novel coronavirus outbreak and that the virus will soon be defeated," he said. ■
