The celebrated chef from one of Seoul’s best restaurants will collaborate with ZS Hospitality for a brand new concept in Central

After their latest opening, popular vegetarian restaurant concept Miss Lee, ZS Hospitality is launching a new Korean restaurant concept Hansik Goo in collaboration with Mingoo Kang, the culinary talent behind Seoul’s esteemed restaurant Mingles. The new Korean restaurant is set to soft open on June 1 in Central. Mingles currently ranks at number 13 on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Inspired by the concept of family meals, Hansik Goo takes a youthful and creative approach to communal meals with traditional flavours of Korea. Kang has earned a stellar reputation thanks to his skilful use of seasonal herbs and masterful usage of jang, the fermented soy sauces that are essential to Korea’s diverse culinary heritage. The new restaurant will feature a tasting menu with the chef’s acclaimed dishes, while Kang will return to Hong Kong for Hansik Goo’s official launch, presenting a full menu of his unique dishes. Guests can indulge in a collection of Kang’s dishes in Hansik Goo’s eight-course tasting menu, featuring dishes that are served family-style with flavours highlighting Korea’s key ingredients such as jang, kimchi and ginseng, paired with Korean wines and coffees.

The new tasting menu is priced at HK$780 per person. With options to order extra dishes from a la carte menu.

Hansik Goo soft opens on June 1, 2020, and reservations are recommended.
