A freight transport service was launched Friday between Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, and Nepali capital Kathmandu. It will take eight days for the cargo to arrive in Kathmandu.
The train is the first on the combined road-rail cargo transport service from Shaanxi to South Asia.
