Coronavirus-hit Kremlin spokesman discharged from hospital: media reports

On May 12, Peskov announced that he was hospitalized after contracting COVID-19.

MOSCOW, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday was discharged from the hospital where he was treated for the COVID-19 infection, local media reported.

Interfax news agency reported that Peskov would have to stay at home in isolation for another two weeks.

On May 12, Peskov was hospitalized for coronavirus infection and was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, according to Interfax.

TASS news agency quoted Peskov as saying that he will gradually start working from home.

Among Russian officials, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova, Science and Higher Education Minister Valery Falkov and Construction Minister Vladimir Yakushev had been confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus. All have recovered.
