BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi Sunday paid high respect to healthcare workers around the globe fighting COVID-19, and expressed deep condolences over the lives lost in the pandemic.
Wang also thanked the governments and peoples in the world that have offered understanding, care and help to China amid the coronavirus outbreak, at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual national legislative session. ■
