BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- The General Administration of Sport of China issued guidelines on Friday to the orderly recovery of sports events; clarifying both principles and requirements.

According to the guidelines, cross-region mass sports events and activities, including national marathons, and international and national comprehensive sports events, will not be resumed in the near future.

In terms of professional sports events, the China Super League, CBA and other events should independently formulate event recovery work plans, which should be implemented after review and evaluation.

For "non physical contact national single sports events", the guidelines express that they can be held in a prudent and orderly manner on the premise of fully considering the situation and requirements of epidemic prevention and control in the host area, comprehensively studying the necessity and risk of the event, and formulating a strict epidemic prevention and control work plan and an emergency plan.

The guidelines also point out that all localities can open all kinds of sports venues in an orderly manner by means of appointment and flow restriction, and carry out local mass sports and fitness activities on the premise of implementing prevention and control measures.
