HONG KONG, April 10 (Xinhua) -- The following are the latest developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in Asia-Pacific countries.

NEW DELHI -- India's death toll due to COVID-19 in India rose to 199 and the total number of confirmed cases has reached 6,412, according to the federal health ministry on Friday morning.

This is a jump of 30 deaths and an increase of 547 cases since Thursday.

PHNOM PENH -- The National Assembly of Cambodia on Friday approved a draft law on the state of emergency amid the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

One hundred and fifteen lawmakers, including Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, unanimously passed the draft bill.

One Vietnamese female-tourist was test positive for the COVID-19 in Cambodia, sending the total number of the confirmed cases to 119.

KABUL -- The Afghan Ministry of Public Health on Friday reported 37 more COVID-19 cases in 12 of the country's 34 provinces, bringing the national total to 521 cases.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 27 more cases of the COVID-19 compared to 24 hours ago as of midnight Friday local time, which was the first time falling below 30 in 50 days, raising the total number of infections to 10,450.

No case was confirmed from Daegu, once the epicenter of the viral spread here, for the first time in 52 days. Since the 31st patient, known as a super spreader, was found in Daegu on Feb. 18, the daily caseload had soared and peaked at 909 on Feb. 29.

WELLINGTON -- A second person has died of COVID-19 in New Zealand, the country's Ministry of Health said on Friday.

New Zealand reported 23 new confirmed and 21 new probable cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed and probable infections to 1,283 in the country.

YANGON -- Five more confirmed infection cases of the COVID-19 were reported in Myanmar, bringing the total number of infections to 27, a release from the Health and Sports Ministry said on Friday.

SINGAPORE -- Singapore reported here Thursday 287 COVID-19 cases, the highest daily number, with mostly linked to foreign worker dormitories, according to its Ministry of Health (MOH)'s daily update.

To date, the total number of cases in the city state reached 1,910.
