英國首相約翰遜在 Twitter 發表錄影發言，表示自己在新型冠狀病毒測試當中被檢測為陽性，確診武漢肺炎。另外，英國衛生大臣夏國賢（Matt Hancock）同樣確診武漢肺炎，並在正在住所自我隔離，目前症狀輕微。
約翰遜在本港時間 7 時左右發表影片，表示自己有感染冠狀病毒的輕微徵狀，包括發燒以及持續咳嗽。經過國家醫學總監建議後他接受檢測，結果為陽性。
約翰遜表示現時已經自我隔離，以及在家工作。他表明自己會繼續領導政府，抗擊疫情，會以視像會議處理日常工作。
英國現時有 11,658 宗確診個案，578 人死亡。王儲查理斯日前都表示確診。
約翰遜曾在 3 月 3 日表示，自己曾在醫院與所有人士握手，當中包括不少確診者。(I was at a hospital where there were a few coronavirus patients and I shook hands with everybody).
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
