Presenting ‘Ωοτοκία (Oviparity)’ a special limited-edition artbook by @yorgoslanthimos. Yorgos Lanthimos
Ωοτοκία是希臘文，意指卵生，靈感來自希臘神話中麗達與天鵝（Leda and the Swan）的故事，講述宙斯愛上了斯巴達國王王妃麗達，然後變成一隻大白鵝與其交歡。攝影集在意大利Villa Albani Torlonia取景，這座建築曾是新古典主義運動的討論基地；相集中模特兒全身塗抹上白色粉末，猶如大理石雕像，其他較年輕的模特兒則穿上Gucci 2020早春系列，活動的人與「死物」互動，強烈的視覺對比與Gucci向來的怪誕風格非常相襯。

至於Yorgos Lanthimos，他最為人熟悉的可能是《The Lobster》（單身動物園）與《The Favourite》（爭寵），前者曾為他帶來最佳原創劇本的提名，他另一部作品《The Killing of Sacred Deer》則是套黑暗陰森的復仇電影，充滿超現實的味道。或者就是他的驚悚風格，引起了Gucci的關注，邀請其成為今次時裝新書的攝影師；從捕捉模特兒的怪異動作，到將神話與攝影概念融合，都體現出Yorgos的美學角度。
