在藝術的創作生涯，不少人等待機會來臨；出身於越南，成長於巴黎，現在旅居倫敦的時尚攝影師Nhu Xuan Hua，多年來堅守「相信自己叙述」（Trust your own narrative）的理念，在搞怪風格橫行的時代，她以一股浪漫、靜謐、柔和的方式，得到Dior、Kenzo、Isszy Miyake等時尚品牌合作，早前還與Shiatzy Chen合作拍攝今季形象廣告，呈現一種淡淡的詩意氛圍。

簡單影像 深層次想像空間

Nhu Xuan Hua分享自己事業的起點：「我從高中開始，已經選擇美術課和電影課作為我的主要課程。我在巴黎LycéeTechnique August Renoir畢業之後，便到Upper East Studio的攝影工作室做助手，於二○一二年十月移居倫敦，正式展開我的時尚之路。」照片，向來是閱讀者與攝影師交流的媒介，Nhu Xuan Hua的作品擅長在空間中以道具、屏幕開創另一個維度的空間感，讓多空間並存，展現層次動線與穿透視覺。筆者最為深刻的，是她曾經為歌手FKA Twigs所拍攝的雜誌形象照，利用回收材料創作臉部特殊面具的藝術家Lyle Reimer合作，重新塑造出「被捨棄的美」。Nhu Xuan Hua續言：「像美國攝影大師Roger Ballen所說“Simple form,complex meaning”，簡單影像可以傳達深層次信息；情況猶如時裝一樣，華衣的設計背後藏有歷史意義與創作者內心情感。」

坦白說，近幾季夏姿陳的形象照片和影片都有新突破，以這次春夏系列為例，Nhu Xuan Hua以詩意幽微的手法來呈現服裝的人文特質，「於幽靜的竹林深處，青年男女受到神秘力量的吸引，穿梭在虛幻空間之中。優雅是品牌基因，我同時用慢動作的鏡頭和影像感的配樂，景物的線條和人物的移動之間，構築了穿梭竹林的意象，也脫離以往品牌拍攝形象大片的手法，帶來新鮮感。除此之外，我想挑戰古典美的觀念，加入一點詩意的黑暗，於是乎以一種心迷宮的影像，讓人從空靈、離奇中探索時間的意義。」

Nhu Xuan Hua表示沒有想過會有這樣成功，這次與品牌合作更是別有意義，令她明白堅持自我的時候，亦需要聽取別人意見，方能進步，「感謝品牌在拍攝前一起參與討論，這樣的情況在歐洲其實是很罕見的（雖然在亞洲非常普遍），今次能夠在工作中融合法國與亞洲文化，反而看到很多創作單位的想法與創作觀，這是相當不俗的經驗。」關於未來的創作，Nhu Xuan Hua謂：「要學會每天保持積極的態度，我很害怕失去記憶，它們是你的創造力基礎，記得黑澤明（Akira Kurosawa）說過，創造一些必須基於回憶的東西，因此我希望日後的作品都會與我的過去有關。」回望過去，成就自我，無疑是一種頗為浪漫的創作動力。
