BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- A Xinhua photo of a nurse holding three newborn babies in a hospital rocked by the massive explosion in Beirut has been widely circulated among mainstream media and the internet.
The moment, captured by Xinhua's photojournalist in Lebanon Bilal Jawich, was hailed by CNN as a "glimmer of hope" from Beirut amid the disaster.
"The nurse looked like she possessed a hidden force that gave her self-control and the ability to save those children," Jawich recalled. ■
