From traditional and custard mooncakes to more creative varieties, these are the most exclusive Mid-Autumn Festival treats to reserve this summer

It is never too early to discuss mooncakes. Typically in Hong Kong, talk of mooncakes  soon begins following Tuen Ng Festival, aka the Dragon Boat Festival, even while the summery heat remains and Mid-Autumn Festival is months away. Still, it hasn’t stopped mooncake purveyors from kickstarting their early bird mooncake offers as early as July. Here is everything you need to know about Hong Kong’s most exclusive hotel luxury mooncakes and which ones to reserve in advance.
