YUSHU, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Camera has captured rare footage of two snow leopard cubs and their mother in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province.
The camera recorded the two cubs which were born about 10 days ago cuddling each other and learning to walk by themselves. It also captured precious footage of snow leopard mother breastfeeding her babies.
Snow leopards are a Class A protected animal in China and are classified as "vulnerable" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. They mainly inhabit the Himalayas in central and southern Asia at an altitude of 2,500 to 4,500 meters.
